The limited number of species seen at Cat
and Exotic Care allows additional resources and time to be
devoted to the special needs of cats, birds, reptiles, and
small mammals.
Cat and Exotic Care offers a wide variety of specialty services
to meet the needs of cat and exotic pet owners.

Boarding
Facilities
These include premier cat and exotic animal boarding facilities,
with adjoining cage options to allow for additional space
(vertical or horizontal), separate distinct areas for litter
boxes, and heated cage floors (for recovery). The boarding
ward includes a flat-panel tv with a simulated aquarium and
other graphics for visual stimulation. |

Clinical Laboratory
In-house laboratory services include full blood chemistry
and complete blood count (CBC) panels performed on the same
day. Complete urinalysis, cytology, fecal sample anlaysis, and fungal culture are also offered as part of our in-house services. |
|

|
| |
Advanced
Diagnostics
Advanced diagnostics include radiographic imaging and rigid
endoscopy, which is especially useful for minimally-invasive
surgery and diagnosis on smaller patients.
Dr. Andrew Jones, a board certified radiologist, reads and interprets radiographs taken at Cat and Exotic
Care. Dr. Jones also offers ulstrasound and echocardiographic services through the clinic. |

Dentistry
We offer a full-line of specialized instrumentation for prophylactic
and therapeutic small mammal dentistry. Feline dentistry is
performed with cutting-edge technology (Im3 air-driven high
speed equipment), comparable to that used by human dentists.

|

|
| |
Intensive Care
A “hot-room” with controlled temperature and humidity
is available for the intensive care needs of ill pets. This
environment is very suitable for many small exotic species.

Surgery
Cat and Exotic Care offers a wide variety of surgical procedures
to meet patient needs. In addition to traditional surgery techniques and equipment, we also offer cryotherapy and radiocautery for specialized procedures and and control of bleeding.
We take your pet's anesthesia seriously
and reduce risks by offering maximum support through monitoring
technology (electrocardiogram, pulse oximetry, esophageal
stethoscope, and doppler/blood pressure), supplemental heat
(forced warm air via our Bair Hugger heat pillows), fluids,
and the industry's safest anesthetic regimens and analgesics
(pain control). |

This is NOT assembly-line medicine, and we
expect our patients to recover more smoothly, safely, and
comfortably then they would without this attention to detail.
